About the role
The Cook I will prepare special meals and substitute items for guests at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Doha. This role involves maintaining food quality, portion control, and presentation while supporting the kitchen team during busy periods.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters.
- Thaw frozen items in refrigeration and maintain proper food logs.
- Ensure correct portioning, arrangement and garnish of dishes.
- Communicate menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and excess food usage to service staff and the Chef.
- Assist in hiring, training, scheduling and coaching kitchen staff.
- Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.
Required profile
- Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
- At least 3 years of related culinary work experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
