Cook III - Pastry

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton, part of Marriott International, is hiring a Cook III-Pastry in Doha. The role covers preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and maintaining the Gold Standards of the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food before use.
• Use baking and measuring tools, equipment and appliances safely to prepare baked foods.
• Follow food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene.
• Check appliance and food temperatures, report issues to management, and wash and disinfect the kitchen area.
• Set up and break down work stations and follow sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout the shift.
• Follow company policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, complete safety training, and keep a clean, professional appearance.
• Work in a team, speak clearly and professionally, and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Less than 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Able to move objects up to 25 pounds, work on uneven surfaces, reach overhead and below the knees, and stand, sit or walk for long periods.
