Customer Service Associate - Retail (M&S)

About the role

Al-Futtaim, a diversified regional business group that owns Marks & Spencer among others, is hiring a Customer Service Associate for its Marks & Spencer retail store in Qatar. The associate delivers outstanding customer service through effective complaint handling and personalized assistance, maintains high store standards, engages in visual merchandising, manages inventory and supports sales through upselling and cross-selling.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to provide a high level of service and assist with their needs, and handle basic complaints, escalating issues as needed
• Maintain the store according to visual merchandising standards and regularly clean and maintain the sales floor
• Help receive new shipments, restock the store and keep inventory managed so the store is fully stocked
• Recommend products to customers based on their needs, staying up to date on product information
• Operate the cash register, process transactions following company payment policies, and keep the checkout area clean and organized

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer-facing roles
• Ability to maintain high store standards and help organize and keep the store clean
• Experience recommending products and upselling and cross-selling
• Experience operating cash registers and following cash-handling procedures
