Cyber Data Analyst

About the role

A leading organization in Doha, Qatar is hiring an experienced Cyber Data Analyst on a full-time basis. The role focuses on analysing large-scale security data and supporting detection engineering, incident response and executive reporting.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, security analytics, detection engineering or incident response.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in cybersecurity, data science, computer science or a related field.
• Mandatory certification: CISSP, GCIA, GDSA, GCDA, CDP or CAPM.
• Evidence of a security analytics project, SOC/cybersecurity operations background, dashboard and reporting samples, automation/scripting examples, and detection engineering or incident response contributions.

Required skills

• Analyzing security data from SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, cloud platforms, Active Directory, threat intelligence and vulnerability management tools.
• Hands-on detection engineering and incident response.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell or other scripting languages.
• Creating security dashboards, heat maps, reporting automation and executive-level reports.
• Data validation, normalization and enrichment.
