Cybersecurity SME – Operational Digital Twin

About the role

Parsons is looking for a Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert to support the end‑to‑end delivery of a large‑scale Geospatial Digital Twin programme for a national infrastructure owner in the Middle East. You will work closely with the Product Manager, data architects and an international team of engineers to ensure the Operational Digital Twin platform is secure by design and compliant with recognised standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define security objectives, scope and requirements across infrastructure, platforms, applications, data and integrations.
• Perform security and risk assessments, document threats, vulnerabilities and recommended mitigations.
• Review and contribute to the design of security controls such as IAM, network segmentation, encryption, logging, monitoring and incident response.
• Support secure‑by‑design and privacy‑by‑design practices, reviewing solution designs, APIs and data flows.
• Coordinate cybersecurity activities with client security teams and align with national and organisational frameworks.
• Assist with security testing, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and track remediation actions.
• Prepare security documentation, operational guidelines and knowledge‑transfer materials.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cybersecurity for complex, data‑intensive platforms.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and security standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional and international teams.
