Data Architect – AI & ML Solutions

About the role

The Data Architect will lead the design and implementation of advanced data and AI architectures for enterprise use cases, covering proof‑of‑concept, scale‑up and production deployment. This is a three‑year fixed‑term contract focused on AI‑ready data platforms, large language model integration and autonomous AI agents.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, test and select technologies to improve and optimise data architecture, including AI, ML and agentic solutions.
• Design enterprise data platforms that support AI/ML, LLM inference at scale, semantic layers, knowledge graphs and multi‑agent workflows.
• Define reference patterns for hybrid on‑premise/cloud LLM services, data refresh, observability and guardrails for autonomous agents.
• Provide architectural guidance for data integration, ingestion (batch, streaming, real‑time) and MDM alignment.
• Support Architecture Review Board sessions, create design artefacts (IDD, HLD, LLD) and document reference architectures.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience designing and delivering AI‑enabled data solutions.
• Strong background in data architecture, data engineering and AI/ML lifecycle management.
• Domain knowledge in Oil & Gas and experience with industry data platforms such as OSDU or Cognite Data Fusion.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• AI‑ready data platform design and data architecture.
• Machine learning, large language model integration, agentic AI and MLOps.
• Cloud platforms and hybrid architecture patterns.
• CI/CD pipelines for model training, evaluation and deployment.
• Tools: Jira, Confluence, and industry data platforms (OSDU, Cognite Data Fusion).
