Director General Services

About the role

A leading organization in Qatar is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director, General Services to lead the planning, management and continuous improvement of corporate support services. The role ensures the efficient delivery of administrative services, facilities management, workplace operations, transportation, accommodation and other shared services that support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall General Services strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
• Lead and oversee facilities management, workplace services, transportation, accommodation, office administration and support functions.
• Drive operational efficiency, service quality and cost optimization across all general services activities.
• Establish policies, procedures and governance frameworks for service delivery and compliance.
• Manage relationships with service providers, contractors and external stakeholders.
• Oversee budgeting, financial planning and resource allocation for General Services operations.
• Lead major facilities, infrastructure and workplace enhancement projects.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and mentor high-performing teams and foster a culture of service excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Engineering, Public Administration or a related discipline; advanced qualifications preferred.
• Extensive leadership experience managing General Services, Corporate Services, Facilities Management, Administration or Shared Services functions.
• Proven track record leading large-scale operational and support services in complex organizations.
• Experience managing large budgets, service contracts and vendor relationships.
