About the role

The Ned Doha is seeking an experienced and inspiring Director of Banquet Operations to lead its banquet team and ensure flawless execution of events across its luxury hotel environment. This senior position offers the chance to shape guest experiences in a fast‑paced, high‑end setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day‑to‑day banquet operations, guaranteeing successful delivery of all events and functions.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Events, Culinary and F&B teams to ensure seamless coordination and exceptional service.
• Maintain high standards of quality, presentation and guest satisfaction while driving operational excellence.
• Coach, mentor and inspire a diverse team, fostering a positive, high‑performing culture.
• Monitor staffing, scheduling, productivity and labour costs to maximise efficiency.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cost‑control initiatives with strong financial awareness.
• Identify opportunities to enhance guest experiences and improve operational processes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and company policies at all times.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a senior banquet leadership role, ideally within luxury hospitality brands.
• Proven ability to manage and develop large, diverse teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Financial and commercial acumen with experience handling budgets and operational targets.
• Passion for creating memorable guest experiences and delivering service excellence.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of banquet operations, event management and food & beverage service standards.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
