Director of Finance – Hospitality Resort

About the role

The Director of Finance will provide strategic financial leadership for a luxury resort, partnering with the Managing Director and department heads to drive performance, ensure compliance, and support long‑term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Maintain strong internal controls, coordinate audits, tax filings and regulatory compliance.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting and develop models for operational decisions.
• Provide variance analysis, cost‑structure reviews and actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Support capital projects, construction budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and ROI analysis.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships and liquidity to meet operational and investment needs.
• Guide the Accounting Manager and team, fostering collaboration across finance, operations and HR.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of progressive experience in a senior finance leadership role within a large resort or hospitality property in the Middle East.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead finance teams, drive process improvements and communicate financial results to owners.
