Director of Finance

About the role

The Director of Finance will provide hands‑on oversight of all financial activities while delivering forward‑looking analysis to support both daily operations and long‑term strategic initiatives. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role partners with department leaders to strengthen financial processes, improve performance visibility, and ensure sustainable, efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely, accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and maintain strong internal controls.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax filings and regulatory compliance.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and develop financial models for operational and strategic decisions.
• Provide variance analysis, actionable insights and support department heads in budget management.
• Partner with leadership on long‑range planning, capital investments, construction and renovation projects.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships and liquidity to meet operational and capital needs.
• Supervise the Accounting Manager and foster a collaborative, accountable finance team.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years progressive experience in a senior finance leadership role within a large resort or hospitality property in the Middle East.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Proven ability to lead budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
• Experience managing audits, tax compliance and internal controls.
