Director of Psychosocial Interventions

About the role

The Director of Psychosocial Interventions provides strategic leadership and oversight for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of psychosocial services at Naufar. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the role shapes the service strategy, ensures integration across addiction, mental health, rehabilitation and community reintegration, and drives a culture of innovation and person‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead the long‑term strategic vision, objectives and operational plans for psychosocial intervention services.
• Establish and maintain governance, quality assurance and clinical oversight frameworks to ensure safe, evidence‑based, patient‑centered care.
• Lead the design, implementation, evaluation and enhancement of innovative psychosocial programs and therapeutic services.
• Provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration across clinical, medical, nursing, allied health and community services.
• Set performance measures, monitor outcomes and implement corrective actions to meet organizational benchmarks.
• Oversee policy development, regulatory compliance and readiness for audits and accreditation.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, representing Naufar in professional forums.
• Manage departmental budgets, resources and risk mitigation strategies to ensure fiscal responsibility and service continuity.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD, PsyD, DClinPsy, EdD or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (mandatory).
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Behavioural Health, Healthcare Administration, Public Health or related field (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in a related healthcare discipline (mandatory).
• Minimum 12‑15 years of progressive experience in behavioural health, addiction treatment, mental health or psychosocial interventions.
• At least 7 years in senior leadership or director‑level positions with proven strategic planning, governance and service transformation experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading research, innovation or academic initiatives within healthcare settings.
