Electrician – Events & Production

About the role

An experienced electrician is sought to support electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and temporary power needs for events, exhibitions and production projects. The successful candidate ensures safe and efficient electrical setups and provides hands-on technical support during installations, live events and dismantling.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test and troubleshoot electrical systems for events, exhibitions and production projects.
• Set up temporary power distribution, cabling, lighting and AV-related electrical connections.
• Carry out pre-event electrical inspections and prepare temporary wiring layouts.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, Qatar electrical requirements and event regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, carpentry teams and event crews, and supervise installation and dismantling.
• Respond quickly to electrical faults during live events and read electrical drawings and technical diagrams.
• Maintain electrical tools, equipment, materials and inventory, and take part in safety inspections, risk assessments and drills.
• Recommend repairs, replacements or improvements to electrical systems and equipment.

Required profile

• Technical diploma, certificate or equivalent in electrical systems, electrical installation or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant electrician experience; events, exhibitions, production or temporary electrical installation experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical layouts, and knowledge of electrical safety procedures and Qatar electrical requirements.
• Experience with AV setups, lighting rigs or temporary power systems is an advantage; experience supporting carpentry, fabrication or exhibition equipment is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Physically fit, willing to work on-site, including weekends and extended hours during installations and dismantling.
