Environment, Health & Safety Lead Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Environment, Health & Safety Lead Engineer to lead the development and implementation of occupational health, safety and environmental programs for our Gulf Services team. The role ensures compliance with local, regional and international regulations while fostering a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture among the Gulf Services team.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs and induction training for new hires, partners and contractors.
• Perform job hazard analyses to identify loss potential in systems and processes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and keep standards up‑to‑date with local, national, regional and international requirements.
• Maintain and support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 program requirements and certification.
• Manage incident investigations, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain required records, prepare reports and files to meet company and regulatory requirements.
• Involve the safety team in the tendering stage for all projects.
• Carry out safety site audits, prepare audit reports and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure safety compliance of contractors and partners and monitor safety KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health, electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 6–10 years of progressive safety experience, preferably in field‑services or electrical environments.
• NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory).
• Certified lead auditor for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities focused on continuous improvement.
