Equipment Operator

About the role

The Qatar Aircraft Catering Company (IPAMS) is looking for a skilled Equipment Operator to handle the loading and off‑loading of catering supplies for flights. You will operate both light and heavy ground support equipment, ensuring timely and safe delivery in line with SOPs and flight schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Dispatch flights on time according to airline specifications and galley loading plans.
• Operate high‑loaders, hi‑lift trucks and other hydraulic vehicles on the airside and landside.
• Align high‑loaders with aircraft or unit docks, place safety cones and chocks, and follow ramp safety procedures.
• Maintain and safeguard tablets, radios, personal protective equipment and complete driver movement sheets each shift.
• Keep vehicle cabins clean, free of foreign object debris (FOD) and report any vehicle damage promptly.
• Load and unload catering supplies for scheduled, charter, Amiri and private aircraft according to customer specifications.
• Hand over vehicles to the shift‑in‑charge, arrange refuelling and ensure proper sign‑off.

Required profile

• Minimum high school qualification.
• At least 12 months of experience operating airline catering high‑loaders, hi‑lift trucks or similar ground support equipment.
• Valid home‑country trailer licence or heavy‑goods vehicle licence.
• Familiarity with airside/ramp safety and hydraulic vehicle operation.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
