EW Database & PFA Specialist – Typhoon EW MD Role

About the role

The Typhoon EW Mission Data (MD) Specialist provides in‑country support to Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF) EW officers, guiding the full MD lifecycle from requirement definition through design, build, testing and post‑flight analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on development of Typhoon EW MD requirements and specifications.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for IGS, DVT, OMDET and PFA tool sets, supporting QEAF EW officers to meet operational needs.
• Support design, build and both SWIL and HWIL testing of ESCM, DAC and Attack Computer MD.
• Assist with emitter ESM data extraction, colourisation and post‑flight analysis to implement MD changes.
• Provide mentorship, training and day‑to‑day elbow‑support to QEAF EW officers, and coordinate with front‑line users.

Required profile

• Graduate of a recognised advanced EW warfare course (UK military) or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years EW or ELINT experience with UK Armed Forces, MSC or industry, plus at least 2 years on Typhoon EW systems.
• Strong team‑leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Cultural awareness of Qatar and ability to build customer relationships.
