Executive Chef

About the role

A prestigious, forward-thinking organization in Qatar is looking for an experienced Executive Chef to lead and manage its culinary operations in a high-end, culturally driven hospitality setting. The role covers kitchen management, menu development, food quality, cost control and team leadership, and the candidate must be willing to relocate to Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Work with senior leadership to define and run short- and medium-term culinary strategies, and plan menu changes with the hospitality and operations teams
• Create menus and food concepts that meet customer demand and cultural relevance, and promote special menus, seasonal offerings and food events
• Lead, instruct and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation
• Ensure food quality, hygiene, safety and sanitation standards; inspect kitchens, storage, equipment and supplies; enforce food rotation, portion control and waste reduction
• Perform regular audits of compliance with internal policies and operational standards
• Control food costs through recipe costing and budget-aligned ingredient selection, and keep accurate pricing and inventory records
• Oversee purchasing, stock management and supplier relationships
• Lead, coach and monitor the kitchen team, encourage staff participation in improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies

Required profile

• Degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts or a related field
• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or equivalent senior culinary role in a high-volume or premium environment
• At least 6 years' experience as a Head Chef or similar leadership role
• Strong understanding of menu engineering, cost control, inventory management and operational governance
• Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to relocate to Qatar

• Experience with ERP systems
