Facilities Plant Operator

About the role

The Facilities Plant Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring electromechanical plant and building systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance across assigned facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor mechanical and electromechanical plant.
• Monitor HVAC, air‑conditioning, and cooling systems.
• Monitor and operate Building Management System (BMS) platforms.
• Conduct routine plant inspections and operational checks.
• Identify equipment abnormalities and technical faults.
• Escalate maintenance requirements to technical teams.
• Maintain accurate operational logs and records.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and technicians.

Required profile

• Technical qualification in Air Conditioning, Mechanical, or Electromechanical disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Plant Operator within schools and kindergartens.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and cooling systems.
• Good knowledge of electromechanical operational requirements and BMS systems.
• Relevant technical certifications preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
• English required; Arabic preferred.
