F&B Outlet Supervisor

About the role

JW Marriott is hiring a full-time F&B Outlet Supervisor in Doha, Qatar. The role ensures that staff work as a team to deliver optimum service and meet guest needs, and covers opening and closing duties, inventory, maintenance work orders and supporting management with hiring, training and scheduling.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure staff work as a team, inspect their grooming and attire and correct any deficiencies
• Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and locking doors
• Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO use and cleanliness, and complete scheduled inventories and stock requisitions
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and guest well-being
• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining and coaching employees, and act as first point of contact for the Open Door Policy
• Follow company and safety/security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training and certifications
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and thank them sincerely
• Identify and implement improvements to efficiency, productivity, quality, safety and cost savings

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least 2 years of related work experience
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move through narrow or elevated spaces
