Fire Fighting Technician

About the role

Al Khaleej Modern Group, an EPC contractor active in electrical, fire protection and security systems in Qatar, is hiring a Fire Fighting Technician for a full-time, on-site position in Doha. The technician installs, inspects, tests and maintains fire fighting systems in line with company standards and Qatar Civil Defence regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Install fire fighting systems such as sprinklers, pumps, piping, valves and associated equipment
• Carry out routine preventive maintenance and respond to service calls to diagnose and fix faults
• Assist in commissioning, verify system performance and safety, and document work with detailed reports and checklists
• Coordinate with project engineers, contractors and clients on technical issues, following safety procedures and permit-to-work processes
• Support periodic audits and compliance inspections

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in fire fighting systems, mechanical engineering or a related field; recognized fire protection training is an advantage
• Previous experience in fire fighting or fire protection projects, preferably in Qatar or the GCC, and familiarity with EPC project environments
• Willingness to work on-site in Doha, including occasional extended hours or shift work, and to take part in ongoing technical and safety training

Required skills

• Technical skills in installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of fire fighting systems and related pipework
• Knowledge of fire safety codes, Qatar Civil Defence standards and basic hydraulic principles
• Ability to read technical drawings, system layouts and equipment manuals
• Strong awareness of occupational health and safety practices
• Effective communication and teamwork in a multicultural environment
