Food & Beverage Manager II

About the role

The Food & Beverage Manager II is responsible for all food and beverage operations, including culinary, restaurant, beverage and room service. The role oversees guest and employee satisfaction, maintains standards and meets or exceeds financial goals, while developing and implementing the food and beverage business plan. It is a full-time management position at the St. Regis Residence in Marsa Arabia Island, Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain budgets, manage financial, employee engagement and guest satisfaction plans, and keep a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations.
• Lead the Food & Beverage department (not catering sales), supervise employees and manage day-to-day operations, stepping in for staff when needed.
• Oversee culinary, restaurant, beverage and room service operations and coach, mentor and counsel team members.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, resolve guest complaints, verify banquet functions meet standards and set service expectations.
• Manage human resources activities: guide subordinates, conduct performance reviews, promote fair treatment and open-door policies, and develop training and development plans.
• Comply with corporate accounting procedures, communicate information clearly and drive departmental communication through logs, meetings and reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, or a 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary or a related area, or 2 years of experience with a 2-year degree.
