Forward Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Forward Maintenance Manager holds maintenance authority for assigned areas, reporting to the Senior Maintenance Manager. This role ensures compliance with Part 145 regulations, oversees the maintenance programme, and leads the team to maintain airworthiness standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Part 145 activities, set delivery targets, monitor progress and drive performance improvement.
• Manage management reviews and assess escalated issues impacting Continuing Airworthiness.
• Ensure all maintenance work is documented, records are maintained, and performed by qualified personnel.
• Integrate Part 145 processes across the business and engage key stakeholders.
• Maintain compliance with the Part 145 Exposition, company procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Apply Human Factors, Error Management, Risk Management and Safety Assurance within the maintenance function.
• Support audit activities, manage findings and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor statutory and legislative requirements and implement regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience in aviation maintenance management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Continuing Airworthiness regulations and Part 145 compliance.
• Proven leadership and coordination skills for managing teams and processes.
• Ability to analyse hazards, manage risks and drive safety improvements.
