Founding Software Engineer – Build Scalable Rental Platform

About the role

The Flex is building an AI‑driven operating system for modern renting. As a Founding Software Engineer you will shape the core platform that powers bookings, pricing, payments and guest experiences for thousands of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and scale Base360.ai, the technology platform behind The Flex.
• Develop internal products, automation engines, AI‑powered workflows and operational systems.
• Design and implement API‑first services that integrate with Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, Google and other partners.
• Build event‑driven, cloud‑native infrastructure on AWS using serverless patterns.
• Solve complex operational problems such as real‑time reservation sync, dynamic pricing, smart‑key management, automated guest communication, forecasting and AI‑based monitoring.
• Own projects end‑to‑end, from concept through deployment and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong experience building production‑grade software systems.
• Proficiency with FastAPI, Python, React or comparable frameworks.
• Deep understanding of APIs, distributed systems and cloud architecture.
• Experience designing scalable back‑end services.
• Ability to work fast, own full‑stack features and ship reliable solutions.
