General Electrician

About the role

Four Seasons is hiring a General Electrician for its resort and residences in Doha, Qatar. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance of the hotel's electrical systems, fault finding and repairs, and support of the Engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of the hotel's electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, wiring, lighting, sockets, switches and distribution boards.
• Attend to electrical maintenance requests in guest rooms, public areas, kitchens and back-of-house areas.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure electrical systems are safe and in good working condition.
• Perform electrical installations, repairs and minor improvement works as required.
• Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and follow hotel safety procedures.
• Support the Engineering team with other maintenance duties when required.

Required profile

• Technical qualification or certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Reading, writing and oral English; Arabic is an asset.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, lighting, motors and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and preventive maintenance.
