GIS Engineer – Roads Operations & Maintenance (Doha)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled GIS Engineer specializing in Roads Operations & Maintenance to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The role will lead the design and implementation of GIS solutions that support the management, analysis and maintenance planning of the region’s road network.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement GIS‑based solutions for road network analysis, asset management and maintenance planning.
• Develop and maintain spatial databases for road infrastructure and related assets.
• Create high‑quality maps, reports and data visualisations to support decision‑making.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate GIS data with other systems and workflows.
• Manage GIS projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality results.
• Stay current with emerging GIS technologies and industry best practices in road O&M.
• Ensure data quality and accuracy through rigorous quality‑control processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of GIS experience, focusing on roads and infrastructure projects.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Doha and travel as required.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with ArcGIS and QGIS.
• Strong ability to design and manage spatial databases.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
