Group Communications Director

About the role

The Group Communications Director is responsible for implementing internal and external communications across the business. The role ensures that PR, content teams and external agencies deliver consistent messages that accurately reflect the company’s values and objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate talent and resources for communications initiatives and guide them to successful completion.
• Create and execute annual and periodic strategic communication plans aligned with business strategy, providing guidelines, tools and templates.
• Oversee sustainability and CSR communications, edit the annual Sustainability report and ensure compliance with UNGC and GRI standards.
• Mentor communications personnel, develop future leaders and define departmental priorities.
• Assess the effectiveness of communication channels, conduct audience segmentation analyses and report findings to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer.
• Identify and promote newsworthy stories to position the business as a thought leader and build relationships with media and consumers.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of proven experience in a leadership role for comprehensive strategic communications.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience, with 2 years in the GCC region preferred.
• Demonstrated accountability, collaboration, strong communication strategy and copywriting abilities.
• Experience in corporate branding, digital and social media strategy, and leadership development.
