Group IT Director (Transportation)

About the role

Gateworth Group is recruiting a Group IT Director for a transportation company based in Doha, Qatar. The role supports the company's global IT team and its long-term digital transformation strategy, leading group-wide business systems and technology initiatives and all technology- and IT-related business units. The ideal candidate has worked in a similar domain and has experience working with teams across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver the Group IT strategy and technology roadmap aligned to business growth and operational objectives.
• Lead enterprise technology programmes, including Oracle ERP/HCM, digital transformation, data and AI initiatives.
• Own IT governance, cybersecurity, risk, compliance and audit management across all entities.
• Oversee infrastructure, applications, business continuity and disaster recovery to support global operations.
• Lead technology due diligence and integration activities for acquisitions and business expansion.
• Manage and develop high-performing IT teams and provide leadership to regional and business unit technology functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 15+ years of IT experience, including significant leadership experience in a multi-country or multinational organisation.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-wide IT strategies, technology transformations and operating model improvements.
• Demonstrated experience managing large IT budgets, vendor relationships and technology investments.
• Strong understanding of IT governance, cybersecurity, risk management, compliance and audit processes.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence executive-level decisions.

Required skills

• Strong experience with ERP and HCM platforms, ideally Oracle (not essential).
• Experience with digital transformation, data and AI initiatives.
