Gym Attendant

About the role

A hotel in Doha, Qatar is looking for a Gym Attendant to look after its fitness area. The role combines member care, equipment safety, sales of memberships and spa services, and administrative work, working closely with the Spa & Wellness team.

Key responsibilities

• Build rapport with guests and members and help them achieve their fitness goals
• Ensure correct and safe use of exercise equipment, monitor misuse and enforce safety rules
• Keep the fitness area clean, organised and hazard-free
• Promote and sell memberships, spa services, treatments, programmes and promotions
• Engage guests of all ages and abilities and encourage ongoing use of the facilities
• Provide first aid when needed and report incidents to management
• Maintain accurate membership records and carry out administrative duties
• Answer guest enquiries professionally and courteously
• Help achieve departmental targets and assist in other spa and fitness operations as requested
