Head of Engineering (Instrument and Control)

About the role

The Head of Engineering (Instrument and Control) will lead the I&C engineering team to ensure all technical deliverables meet project specifications, standards, and quality expectations. This senior position oversees the full engineering lifecycle, from design reviews to start‑up support.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee I&C engineering activities and ensure compliance with project requirements and standardized processes.
• Conduct independent (cold‑eye) reviews of I&C deliverables and recommend mandatory changes.
• Provide clear guidance to EPC contractors, sub‑contractors, and vendors, facilitating resolution of technical issues.
• Support field engineering during start‑up and early operations until performance tests are completed.
• Manage the EPC contract and I&C engineering team to deliver timely outputs up to the Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC).
• Maintain constructive relationships with EPC contractors, operations, and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in instrument and control engineering within large‑scale projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage EPC contracts.
• Strong track record of delivering high‑quality engineering deliverables on schedule.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
