Junior Mechanical Designer / Draftsman

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Designer / Draftsman to join our engineering team in Doha. The role involves producing detailed technical drawings and supporting the development of machine components for our steel fabrication and heavy‑transport projects.

Key responsibilities

• Create and update 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software.
• Develop machine and component designs that meet client specifications and industry standards.
• Prepare documentation and drawing packages for fabrication and assembly.
• Collaborate with engineers and R&D staff to optimise design and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with steel‑fabrication standards and project requirements.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Design or a related field.
• Proficiency in technical drawing and CAD software.
• Knowledge of machine design principles.
• Experience or interest in research and development to improve designs.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, on‑site team.
