Head of Operations Excellence – Offshore

About the role

The Head of Operations Excellence – Offshore will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of QatarEnergy LNG’s offshore Operations Excellence (OE) programs, with a strong focus on compression and process safety. This senior position ensures alignment of OE initiatives with business objectives and drives operational efficiency across offshore and onshore facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and sustain OE and process safety programs for offshore operations.
• Drive initiatives that improve operational efficiency, logistics, and lead‑time reduction.
• Identify, design and execute process improvements to enhance productivity and safety.
• Own OE‑related IT tools for the offshore department and ensure their effective use.
• Align OE initiatives with division transformation goals and business objectives.
• Develop and maintain procedures, manuals, training materials and assessment practices at the Operations Group level.
• Implement the Mitigate Volume Threats (MVT) process and integrate it with company risk and reliability processes.
• Lead the development and implementation of Barrier Management processes and best practices.
• Provide technical expertise on complex operational issues and advise on KPI targets.
• Oversee quality assurance and project planning measures for assigned projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 11 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Solid understanding of Operations Excellence functions and process safety.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage large‑scale improvement programs.
