Heavy Duty Driver (Pitch Operation)

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a Heavy Duty Driver for its pitch operation in Doha. The driver operates the pitch control room systems, loads and unloads liquid pitch at the truck loading and unloading stations, and safely transports it by tanker truck between the port terminal and the Carbon Paste Plant.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the pitch control room systems, including SCADA and HMI platforms, to monitor and control loading and unloading, input operational data and ensure process accuracy.
• Perform pitch truck loading at the loading station, keeping quantities, temperatures and safety checks correct.
• Transport liquid pitch by tanker truck from the port terminal to the Carbon Paste Plant on approved routes, schedules and safety protocols.
• Unload pitch at the paste plant station, ensuring proper connection, discharge procedures and system integrity.
• Carry out routine quality checks and first-line maintenance of pitch handling equipment, tankers and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and service equipment in the liquid pitch terminal area, and report and follow up on malfunctions and deviations so repairs or replacements are done promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 10 school certificate or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in heavy industry, in heavy-duty driving and/or equipment operation.
• Proven experience in similar industrial roles such as smelters, ports, logistics or large-scale manufacturing.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills, and good time management to meet schedules and delivery timelines.
• Sound understanding of industrial safety practices, traffic regulations and material handling procedures.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy, including use of standard systems and interfaces such as reporting tools and HMI/SCADA where applicable.
