Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees daily housekeeping operations on assigned floors and areas at the InterContinental Doha Beach & Spa, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest satisfaction. The role supervises and coordinates Room Attendants, conducts room inspections, manages daily assignments and ensures compliance with hotel standards, health and safety regulations and operational procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate daily tasks to Room Attendants and verify room readiness, updating room status and coordinating with Front Office
• Coordinate arrival rooms, VIP arrivals, group check-ins and back-to-back room assignments
• Monitor occupancy reports, prepare shift handover reports and maintain cleaning schedules
• Follow up on maintenance requests with Engineering and ensure cleaning chemicals and equipment are handled safely
• Maintain stock levels of guest supplies, linen and cleaning materials, assist with inventory counts and prepare duty rosters
• Handle Lost & Found items, report incidents and damages, and promote teamwork across departments
• Train and coach Room Attendants, monitor team performance and ensure compliance with fire safety, health and safety and security policies
• Address guest requests promptly and support the Housekeeping management team

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Hospitality Management, Housekeeping Operations or a related field is an advantage
• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a supervisory or team leader role; five-star or luxury hotel experience is an advantage
• Good verbal communication in English; additional languages are an asset
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays

Required skills

• Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, room inspection standards, cleaning techniques and hygiene requirements
• Leadership, team supervision and time management skills
• Understanding of housekeeping equipment, cleaning chemicals and health and safety procedures
• Coordination with Front Office, Engineering and other departments
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with hotel property management systems are an advantage
