HVAC Facilities Engineer

About the role

Raytheon Field Engineering is looking for an experienced HVAC Facilities Engineer to support the operation, maintenance, and integration of the Qatar Early Warning Radar (QEWR). The role is based in El Paso, TX, with a long‑term international assignment in Qatar, and requires active U.S. Secret clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HVAC facilities maintenance for the radar installation and act as the primary technical liaison for customer operations.
• Integrate, test, and analyze mechanical‑focused hardware to ensure reliable HVAC performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks (PMCS), troubleshoot, and repair HVAC support systems.
• Coordinate PMCS and repair activities, develop maintenance plans, and log non‑conformances in the MRO system.
• Establish schedules, procure tools/parts, and manage maintenance float items.
• Oversee subcontractor teams, move materials, set up work sites, and maintain tool accountability.
• Ensure compliance with all safety rules and personal protective equipment requirements.

Required profile

• Completed an HVAC course from a recognized technical institute or approved apprenticeship.
• Active, transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret clearance on day 1.
• U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance).
• Experience with HVAC maintenance, preventive maintenance, and mechanical analysis.
