Investment Officer – Treasury & Investment Operations

About the role

The Investment Officer will support the Treasury & Investment Operations team in processing FEQ/PT, Bond/PT and QE transactions for designated banks, ensuring compliance with Doha Bank policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves timely receipt of approvals, accurate record‑keeping, and contribution to MIS reporting for audit and procedural purposes.

Key responsibilities

• Execute operational activities assigned by the Section Head, adhering to local regulations and bank policies.
• Receive, review, and record documents related to FEQ/PT, Bond/PT and QE transactions according to the approval matrix.
• Maintain pending‑cases files for accurate tracking of transaction status.
• Obtain and process rights‑issue applications from T&I employees and corresponding banks within SLA timelines.
• Liaise with investment dealers and stock brokers to confirm deal execution.
• Resolve discrepancies in approvals or deals in collaboration with relevant staff.
• Maintain both system and hard‑copy records of investment proposals and transaction accounting.
• Assist in investigating pending cases caused by operational errors.
• Prepare periodic and ad‑hoc reports to satisfy regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements.
• Perform daily verification and reconciliation of Doha Bank NOSTRO accounts against manual and system postings.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Banking, Finance or related discipline; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5–8 years of experience in financial services, specifically in treasury and investment settlement operations.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations and internal approval processes.
