Lead Business Finance Officer

About the role

The Lead Business Finance Officer will provide in‑depth financial analysis to optimise resource allocation, support strategic decision‑making and ensure compliance with group accounting policies. This senior role works closely with senior management to shape financial goals, budgets and forecasts across the division.

Key responsibilities

• Develop advanced financial models and conduct quantitative analyses such as trend, root‑cause, profitability, scenario and unit‑cost benchmarking.
• Assist in setting corporate and departmental financial targets, building budgets and forecasts that align with those goals.
• Analyse actuals, forecasts and budgets, preparing performance reports for senior management.
• Evaluate capital‑spending projects and recommend approval, rejection or redesign.
• Lead corporate‑wide initiatives including cash‑flow modelling, long‑term strategic planning and cost‑reduction programmes.
• Coordinate business‑case development and scenario modelling to drive better decisions.
• Prepare and present reports and presentations for senior leadership.
• Perform regression and statistical analysis of revenue and airline industry data to identify performance drivers and improvement opportunities.
• Analyse monthly revenue performance by route, channel and point‑of‑sale, and conduct ad‑hoc revenue analyses.
• Maintain a competitive intelligence framework for benchmarking against regional rivals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and interpret complex financial models.
• Experience preparing reports and presentations for senior management.
• Leadership experience supervising a team and coordinating cross‑functional projects.
