Licensed Aircraft Technician – Heat Exchanger

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Technician specialized in heat exchangers to join its Technical Engineering team in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, overhauling, and certifying air‑pack heat exchangers on B777 and B787 aircraft, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards and delivery timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform heat‑exchanger repair and overhaul on B777/B787 air‑conditioning packs.
• Certify completed work in accordance with EASA and QCAA Part 145 regulations.
• Maintain and operate workshop equipment safely, following manufacturer manuals.
• Prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and supervise staff to meet TAT and release deadlines.
• Identify potential technical issues, advise engineers, and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 4 years working on B777/B787 heat exchangers.
• Company authorization for B777 or B787 air‑conditioning pack heat exchangers.
• Strong knowledge of component maintenance fundamentals and procedures.
• Proven ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
