Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure the reliable operation of commercial kitchen equipment across our facilities in Qatar. You will install, service, and troubleshoot a wide range of gas and electric appliances, maintaining high safety and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install and set up commercial kitchen equipment, connecting to electrical, gas, and water lines.
• Perform preventive maintenance on ovens, fryers, grills, dishwashers, food warmers, cabinets, mixers and food processors.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using multimeters and clamp meters; repair or replace heating elements, contactors, relays, thermostats, motors and gas valves.
• Ensure compliance with electrical and gas safety regulations, conduct leak checks and maintain service records.
• Support basic refrigeration tasks, including checking pressure, identifying leaks, cleaning coils and verifying thermostat operation.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air‑Conditioning, or Commercial Equipment Technology.
• 2–5 years of experience repairing commercial kitchen equipment (preferred).
• Valid Qatar driver’s licence.
• Knowledge of gas safety regulations.

Required skills

• Commercial kitchen equipment installation and preventive maintenance.
• Electrical diagnostics with multimeter and clamp meter.
• Repair of heating elements, contactors, relays, thermostats, motors and gas valves.
• Understanding of basic electrical concepts, AC/DC circuits, single‑phase and three‑phase systems, circuit breakers, fuses, capacitors and transformers.
• Refrigeration cycle principles and troubleshooting of reach‑in refrigerators, walk‑in chillers, freezers and ice machines.
• Gas safety compliance and leak detection.
