Manager Network ULD

About the role

In this role you will be responsible for strategic planning of ULD stock throughout its full cycle to support operational requirements, fleet growth and network development. You will build relationships with internal and external senior stakeholders and drive KPIs, visibility dashboards and global ULD initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Introduce, develop and implement new technology such as BLE to digitalise the ULD fleet, ensure audit compliance and lead global rollout of these initiatives.
• Monitor market products and trends, perform industry benchmarks and identify improvement opportunities for the ULD department.
• Establish reporting structures to analyse damage ratios in outstations and Doha, supporting root‑cause analysis and damage reduction.
• Define operational and handling requirements for ULDs with GHAs and suppliers, and embed them into contracts and documentation.
• Lead senior‑management‑driven projects to deliver expected outcomes and ensure alignment with strategy.
• Maintain visibility of ULD requirements across the network, using existing tools or developing new platforms to provide the right amount of ULDs at the right time.
• Prepare the annual budget and forecast for the ULD workshop and management department, covering consumables, leasing and procurement.
• Coordinate with QR Technical to satisfy all QCAA requirements for the Part 145 ULD repair shop.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Management of a multi‑thousand‑unit ULD fleet for a global airline.
• Working knowledge of ULD fleet planning.
• Experience leading large teams across multiple geographical regions.
• Ability to influence senior management and drive business‑critical decisions.
