Manager Procurement Sourcing (IT Hardware & Software)

About the role

QNB is hiring a Manager Procurement Sourcing for IT hardware and software in Doha, Qatar. The role is responsible for sourcing IT services for the Bank and its subsidiaries, working with the IT department and a small team of 2-3 Senior Associates and Associates.

Key responsibilities

• Build RFIs, RFQs and RFPs with the Technology Department and lead strategic IT sourcing, including tenders, supplier evaluations, commercial validation, negotiations and contracts
• Take part in major technology transformation projects such as cloud, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, enterprise software, digital platforms, automation and emerging technologies
• Sourcing across the full IT category: hardware, software, cloud, telecommunications, cybersecurity and technology professional services
• Work with Legal and stakeholders on the commercial and contracting process, protecting the Bank on licensing rights, SLAs, exit provisions and scalability
• Assess total cost of ownership, including implementation, integration, licensing, subscriptions, maintenance, upgrades, cloud consumption and exit costs
• Deliver savings and cost avoidance through competitive sourcing, demand consolidation, benchmarking, contract renewals and supplier negotiation
• Plan IT contract renewals early, including subscription expiries and end-of-support dates
• Optimize licenses, subscriptions and cloud spend with Technology and IT asset owners, and manage supplier performance and risk with due diligence
• Ensure proofs of concept and emerging technology initiatives are governed with proper commercial terms and approvals
• Lead and develop a team of 2-3 sourcing professionals, allocating projects by skill and workload

Required profile

• At least 6 years of relevant IT procurement or sourcing experience, ideally in a highly rated international bank or similar complex organization
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MCIPS preferred
• Experience leading or coaching junior sourcing professionals

Required skills

• Strong hands-on experience with IT RFPs, tenders, complex technology negotiations, contracts and transformation projects
• Good commercial understanding of software licensing, cloud/SaaS, infrastructure, cybersecurity and technology services
• Strong negotiation, commercial and analytical skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
