Manager – Restructuring

About the role

The bank is looking for a Manager – Restructuring to lead its Asset Recovery function. Reporting to the Head of Asset Recovery, you will manage distressed and early‑stress financing cases, creating solutions that protect asset value and limit credit losses while staying within risk and regulatory limits.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the restructuring framework, operating procedures and annual plan.
• Analyse financial statements, cash‑flow forecasts, business viability and collateral to decide if a case can be restructured.
• Design and test restructuring options such as revised repayment schedules, extended tenors, repricing, additional security or amended covenants.
• Prepare credit papers supported by scenario modelling and recovery analysis.
• Negotiate directly with borrowers, guarantors and their advisers and drive each deal through due‑diligence, credit approval, documentation and execution.
• Monitor restructured accounts against repayment schedules, covenants and milestones, escalating to collection or legal routes when necessary.
• Maintain accurate portfolio data and report on exposures, approvals, recoveries, exceptions and emerging risks.
• Supervise, coach and develop a Restructuring Analyst.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in banking, specifically in credit, restructuring, remedial, workout or recovery roles.
• Proven hands‑on experience analysing distressed credits, negotiating with borrowers and leading teams.
• Strong financial analysis capabilities, including cash‑flow forecasting and scenario modelling.
