Marine Engine Mechanic

About the role

IPAMS is seeking an experienced Marine Engine Mechanic to join its technical team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for major overhauls, repairs, and maintenance of marine diesel engines and associated systems on both main and auxiliary units.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical overhauls and specialized repair work on marine diesel engines using technical manuals.
• Test, repair, and overhaul hydraulic systems, bow and stern thruster units.
• Remove, refit, and replace seals on propellers and tail shafts.
• Carry out any additional mechanical duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• High School diploma, Secondary School certificate, ALS, or ITI certification in diesel engines (marine preferred).
• Minimum six (6) years of hands‑on experience as a technician on marine diesel engines and gearboxes.
