MEP Draftsman (AutoCAD/Revit)

About the role

The MEP Draftsman will create and maintain detailed mechanical, electrical and plumbing drawings for construction projects using AutoCAD, Revit and other BIM tools. Working closely with MEP engineers, site teams and contractors, the role ensures that all shop, coordination and as‑built drawings meet project specifications and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire‑fighting, electrical, ELV, BMS and related services.
• Develop coordination drawings that integrate architectural, structural and MEP disciplines.
• Produce builders‑work drawings, reflected ceiling plans, sections, schematics and installation details.
• Update as‑built drawings based on site modifications and final installations.
• Generate material layouts, equipment layouts, riser diagrams and service coordination drawings.
• Review consultant drawings, tender documents and specifications to identify drafting requirements.
• Incorporate design revisions and site instructions into updated drawing submissions.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants and subcontractors to resolve design clashes and technical issues.
• Conduct site visits and take field measurements to verify installation conditions.
• Participate in coordination meetings and support BIM/clash detection activities where applicable.

Required profile

• Proven experience preparing MEP shop drawings for HVAC, plumbing, fire‑fighting, electrical, ELV and BMS systems.
• Ability to read and interpret consultant drawings, tender documents and technical specifications.
• Experience conducting site visits and taking accurate field measurements.
• Strong coordination skills with MEP engineers, project engineers, site engineers, consultants and subcontractors.
