Military and Family Life Counselor – Qatar

About the role

Leidos is seeking licensed behavioral health professionals to join the Adult Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) team supporting U.S. service members and families in Qatar. The position starts with remote/virtual service delivery and will transition to on‑site work when the base reopens.

Key responsibilities

• Provide face‑to‑face counseling to service members, spouses and families (individual, couple, and family sessions).
• Observe, participate in, and coach installation staff and military families, modeling behavior‑management techniques.
• Deliver presentations at military‑connect events for service members, families, and leadership.
• Promote creativity and positivity using approved materials and attend community events to build rapport.
• Assist families with transition challenges such as new schools or homes.
• Participate in regular in‑service training and communicate trends to team leads.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in a behavioral health field (MSW, MA, PhD, etc.).
• Valid independent mental‑health license from any U.S. state or territory (LCSW, MHC, MFT, LPC, Psychologist).
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Pass basic background check, Child National Agency Check, and NACI/CNACI clearance.
