Munitions Inspector

About the role

The Munitions Inspector is responsible for receiving, storing, inspecting, testing, transporting and maintaining U.S. Air Force munitions and related equipment at the Qatar site. The role ensures compliance with USAF, host‑nation safety standards and Amentum ISO 9001 quality requirements while supporting both peacetime and combat operations.

Key responsibilities

• Observe and enforce all USAF and host‑nation explosives safety, AFOSH and security standards during all operations.
• Inspect munitions, containers and equipment in accordance with technical directives (e.g., 11A‑1‑10, 11A‑1‑60).
• Document serviceability and accountability actions promptly and conduct warehouse inventories.
• Operate and maintain TICMS, MC2, light vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, electronic test equipment and other handling tools.
• Provide safety briefings, entry‑controller duties and emergency response as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least four years of military munitions experience.
• Completed formal USAF Munitions Systems training (or equivalent) and ability to obtain a Secret US Government clearance (US citizenship required).
• Valid home‑country driver’s license and ability to obtain a host‑nation license.
• Physically capable of lifting/pushing/pulling a minimum of 50 lb and wearing required PPE.

Required skills

• Intermediate knowledge of USAF Supply, TMO Munitions and Tech Order systems.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Operation of material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, manual hoists).
• Familiarity with TICMS, MC2, TMRS and IMDS/DPAS information systems.
