Munitions Technician

About the role

The Munitions Technician is responsible for receiving, storing, inspecting, testing, transporting and maintaining United States Air Force (USAF) munitions and related handling equipment. The role supports theater operations by ensuring compliance with safety, quality and security standards while coordinating shipments and warehouse activities.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, store, inspect and test USAF munitions and associated material handling equipment.
• Operate Theater Integrated Combat Munitions Systems (TICMS) and perform “Receiver” and entry‑controller duties.
• Conduct warehouse inventories, resolve discrepancies and prepare munitions shipments for air, sea and surface transport.
• Inspect munitions according to technical orders 11A‑1‑10 and 11A‑1‑60, including brass, residue and containers.
• Maintain and operate light vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, manual hoists and other handling equipment.
• Perform minor maintenance on facilities, equipment and vehicles and keep work areas clean.
• Provide safety briefings, supervise Other Country National (OCN) workforce when required, and respond to emergencies.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of USAF Supply and Technical Order systems or equivalent.
• Proficiency with personal computers for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to work in a warehouse or outdoor environment for extended periods.

Required skills

• Theater Integrated Combat Munitions Systems (TICMS) operation.
• USAF munitions inspection per 11A‑1‑10 and 11A‑1‑60.
• Forklift, pallet jack and manual hoist operation.
• Use of metal strapping equipment, stencil machines, heat sealers, pneumatic paint guns, air compressors and power tools.
• Minor maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, equipment and facilities.
