About the role

The News Writer will research, write, and publish accurate and engaging business and economic news for both the magazine and the FME website. Working closely with the editorial and social media teams, the role supports live event coverage, breaking‑news reporting, and multimedia storytelling.

Key responsibilities

• Research and write news articles on business, economics, and breaking‑news topics for timely publication.
• Edit and proofread content to ensure grammatical accuracy and adherence to editorial standards.
• Support live coverage of major events, conferences, and breaking‑news situations.
• Collaborate with social‑media teams to create headlines and posts that boost audience reach.
• Monitor markets and social platforms to identify exclusive story opportunities.
• Coordinate with designers and multimedia teams to enrich articles with visuals and infographics.
• Optimize articles using SEO best practices to improve search visibility.
• Track article performance and audience metrics for continuous improvement.
• Maintain databases of sources, experts, and industry contacts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, economics, finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience as an English journalist or writer, preferably in business journalism.
• Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and produce accurate, engaging content.

Required skills

• Proficiency with social‑media platforms for content promotion.
