Media Specialist

About the role

Parsons is seeking a talented Media Specialist to create engaging multimedia content, manage project media coverage, and support stakeholder communications for major infrastructure and construction projects in Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and produce media content highlighting project progress, milestones, events and key activities.
• Create storyboards and short movies/reels covering ongoing construction activities.
• Monitor and track media platforms, including social media and newspapers, to identify coverage, public feedback and emerging issues.
• Capture and coordinate professional photography and video coverage of construction activities, site events, inspections and milestones.
• Prepare presentations, videos, photographs, graphics and other visual communication materials for clients and project teams.
• Maintain an organized digital library of media assets with proper metadata.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and construction teams to identify activities requiring media coverage.
• Support media arrangements for client visits, VIP ceremonies and official project events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Digital Media or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional experience in media, communications or public relations, preferably supporting construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in photography, videography, video editing and graphic content creation.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight project deadlines.
• Willingness and ability to work on active construction sites following safety requirements.
