Office Assistant – Inflight Catering Operations

About the role

This position supports the day‑to‑day administrative and secretarial functions of Qatar Aircraft Catering’s 24‑hour inflight catering operation. The office assistant will handle correspondence, telephone contacts and document control while maintaining a high level of discretion and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and secretarial support, coordinating activities, conducting research and ensuring requests are completed.
• Handle inquiries, route them to appropriate departments and respond to complaints or information requests.
• Manage mail, draft letters, internal memos and take dictation, maintaining confidentiality of all documents.
• Schedule appointments, meetings and travel itineraries, including hotel and flight bookings.
• Prepare meeting materials, charts and reports, and ensure completeness and accuracy of incoming documents for fast‑track approvals.
• Maintain office supplies and equipment, and oversee purchasing of stationery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or High School/Diploma with a minimum of two years relevant experience.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail and ability to work independently under pressure.
• Professional demeanor when interacting with internal and external senior stakeholders.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and quality‑conscious mindset.

Required skills

• Certificate in computer applications with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking in English.
