Order Book Support Operator

About the role

The Order Book Support Operator provides day‑to‑day assistance for spares and repair order processing, ensuring inventory and asset demands are met within contractual timelines and budgets. The role supports forecasting, optimisation, and the coordination of AOG (Aircraft on Ground) spares to maintain high service levels for the fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Spares & Repairs coordinator in placing orders promptly and managing all order‑book transactions.
• Support the PPC supervisor with AOG spares activities, exploring all demand‑resolution options quickly and compliantly.
• Collaborate with the Integrated Technical Logistics Operations Cell (ITLOC) to meet customer operational needs.
• Maintain accurate PPC spreadsheets for DSUMs and AOG calls, ensuring data is up‑to‑date.
• Help plan and monitor inventory, balance service levels against budget, and explore alternative supply sources.
• Determine the most appropriate asset solution (repair, overhaul, or spare) and schedule repair tasks.
• Ensure internal and external customers receive service in line with KPIs, particularly for the QEAF Typhoon fleet.
• Mentor new QEAF staff joining the MOB organisation.

Required profile

• Understanding of regulatory frameworks and ability to integrate them into DF&P processes.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with customers, OEMs, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Good grasp of platform contract terms and related KPIs.
• Commercial awareness of fleet performance and business metrics.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and reporting system enhancement.
• Analytical ability to interpret supply‑chain data and identify recurring issues.
