Permit and Authority Approval Coordinator

About the role

The Permit and Authority Approval Coordinator is responsible for managing DC1/DC2 approvals, Building Completion Certificates (BCC), authority inspections and project completion clearances. This role serves as the primary liaison between L&T project teams and Qatar authorities to ensure timely submissions, comment resolution, inspections and approvals for project handover.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate DC1, DC2, BCC, NOCs, permits, inspections and other statutory approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare, compile and submit technical reports, drawings, certificates and supporting documents to authorities.
• Maintain trackers for approvals, NOCs, DC1/DC2, BCC and inspections, monitoring status and escalating critical issues.
• Liaise with engineering, QA/QC, HSE, planning, commissioning, document control, subcontractors and consultants to meet authority requirements.
• Prepare periodic authority approval status reports and keep complete records of submissions and approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, mechanical engineering, construction management or related discipline.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in Qatar infrastructure, EPC, utilities or power transmission projects.
• Hands‑on experience with Qatar authority approvals, permitting, NOCs, DC1/DC2 and BCC processes.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written) with strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Qatar authority approval and permitting procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
